R2:2013 Standard provides a set of processes, safety measures, and documentation requirements for
businesses that repair and recycle used electronics. R2:2013 facilities are rigorously and independently
audited with an emphasis on quality, safety, and transparency.
Our R2:2013 certification ensures our customers that we have demonstrated through audits and other
means that we continually meet specific high environmental standards and safely manage used

standard for occupational health and safety management systems. Simon Metals maintains the OSHAS
18001 certification by following practices to identify and control health and safety risks, reduce the

E-Cycle Washington Program
E-Cycle Washington is a program run by Washington State Department of
Ecology. E-Cycle Washington is a free program that makes it easy for Washington residents to recycle
their broken, obsolete, or worn-out electronics. Electronic products contain toxic chemicals that should
be kept out of the landfill and valuable materials that can be recycled.
As a Preferred Processor, Simon Metals is contracted to provide processing services to meet the
requirements in Chapter 173-900 WAC. (Tacoma and Vancouver facilities)
Oregon E-Cycles State Contractor Program
NCER uses a competitive process to select recyclers for the
State Contractor Program (SCP). All recyclers are required to have a third-party audit certifying their
compliance to the Oregon Environmental Management Standards.
